The Utilities Coordinator would interact with utility companies throughout the New England and New York areas. This person must have excellent follow through skills, be detail-oriented and be able to manage accurate data on excel. This is a new position and open due to the growth of the company!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide utility management support to the Project Managers; organize field reports, communicate with third party utility entities
  • Prepare utilities applications and documentation for Engineering and Project Managers
  • Assist with RR, River, highway applications and submissions and ROW permitting
  • Enter, track, and update new and ongoing projects by maintaining excel spreadsheets
  • Organize documentation from multiple on-going projects
  • Essential individual who will interact with customers, and answer emails regarding projects
  • Travel required, expected and will vary to New York, depending on municipal meetings and requirements
  • Report to the Utilities Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates or College Degree in Engineering, Communications or related field preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience general office/accounting work experience required
  • Travel once a month; some times more or less as required by the job
  • Superb time line tracking and daily reporting skills on Excel, MS Office, experience with MS Project a plus
  • Ability to understand project goals, and deadlines
  • Excellent time management, self-motivated individual
  • Articulate, organized and detailed individual who can interact effectively with customers, and Project Managers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Knowledge of Telecom industry, Utility Management or OSP Engineering a plus
