Waveguide is hiring and expanding our training department to incorporate a full time Technical Training Manager with telecom experience.

This person will be responsible for managing the Waveguide technical training program which will include fiber optic construction, as well as DAS/wireless. He/She will establish process, gather and organize curriculum and coordinate resources for program presentation through in-person, online classroom teaching as well as field simulation and on-site instruction. Accomplish job results by planning, conducting, and evaluating employees/students through on-going instruction and evaluation. This is a brand new full time opportunity!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conducts training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, and reports, understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
  • Determines resource utilization requirements by researching and testing methods.
  • Designs training manuals by identifying and describing information needs; using desktop publishing; submitting initial versions for review; revising and editing final copy.
  • Conducts and coordinates training opportunities by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and role specific models.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization and quality control standards.
  • Evaluates training by evaluating effectiveness of training to specific job applications.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in fiber optic construction, DAS and training with 5+ years’ experience in telecom.
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and training management
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of the internal construction, splicing and wireless technical program

Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is predominantly performed in an office environment, but will be expected to be in the field as required by the job.
