NASHUA – Waveguide, which installs fiberoptic lines for broadband networks and this spring moved into a former Postal Service building in Nashua, is the top New Hampshire company on Inc Magazine’s annual list of America’s fastest growing companies.
The Inc 5000 measures revenue growth over the previous three years.
Waveguide was in 1,068th place on the list, with three-year growth of 396 percent, from $4.7 million in 2009 to $23.3 million in 2012.
Founded in 1998 in Chelmsford, Mass., Waveguide moved to Nashua to consolidate operations and be closer to the Network New Hampshire Now program, a 750-mile project extending high-speed Internet to rural areas in the state. It is the main line installer for that project.
The company has 101 employees, 62 of whom were added in the last three years.
The third-place New Hampshire firm on the list was also in Nashua: the East Coast office of Kentico Software, a Czech Republic firm that develops content-management systems for e-commerce and other online applications. Its three-year revenue growth was 307 percent, to $4.4 million in 2012.
No other firms in Greater Nashua were on the list.
Overall, there were 24 New Hampshire firms on the list, four of which are in Bedford and six in Portsmouth.
